LOCATION & ACCOMMODATIONS
München Brewery / München Bryggeriet
"München Brewery is one of the most characteristic elements in the
skyline of Stockholm as well as being a greatly appreciated
memento of a distant industrial epoch. Beer was produced here for
over 100 years to satisfy the thirsts of Stockholmers and the last
bottle ever to be filled was capped in 1971. ...A construction
company bought the main brewery building in 1979 and after six
years of renovation and a total cost of SEK 200 million, 50 000 m2
of space was now ready to see new life." (from their website)
It is a special joy that we in Alcoholics Anonymous can celebrate our
own new life as the All-Europe Young People in AA conference
("EURYPAA") debuts in 2010 from this historic location. Visit
http://www.m-b.se/eng/index.asp for more on the history of
München Brewery (München Bryggeriet).
Where to Stay
EURYPAA 2010 conference meetings will take place at München
Brewery on the Södermalm island, very near the center of
Stockholm and easy to get to from all over the city. In the summer,
with the endless days and warm climate, most people find it nice to
walk through Stockholm – there is also a great biking culture, and
excellent public transportation. Pretty much anywhere you choose
to stay will be easy to get to EURYPAA.
Stockholm has a variety of places to stay for any budget: hostels,
hotels, and even camping under the summer night sky. Because
EURYPAA 2010 does not have a host hotel, we are not making any
direct recommendation on where to stay. Here are a few links* for
finding accommodations in Stockholm. We also have our EURYPAA
bulletin board with a topic thread dedicated to Accommodations,
including posts for those looking for homestay/couchsurfing options.

About Stockholm
Stockholm is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, rich in
history, culture, green spaces and endless summer nights. The city
is over 700 years old and sits across 14 islands between the fresh
waters of Lake Mälaren and the archipelago of the Baltic Sea. Public
transportation is available by subway, bus, boat and even bike,
though most visitors find Stockholm to be the ideal walking city.
